It means 'impuesto sobre el valor añadido.' The IVA tax usually included but some restaurants add it to your bill. The IVA on hotel accommodation and restaurants is 10%. On general shopping items and retail goods the IVA is 21% and is always included in the price. Some goods have reduced IVA tax of 10% and super reduced rate of 4%.
