Pictures of the traditional Catalan la Sardana dance. Sometimes it is also called the "sardanes" dance, which is the plural of La Sardana. La Sardana is the traditional folk dance of Catalonia. The music is provided by by a "cobla" woodwind band. You can see sardanas dancing at most city and neighbourhood festivals in Barcelona. Every Sunday you can see dancing in front of Barcelona's La Seu cathedral in the Ciutat Vella (old city) of Barcelona from 11:15 to 13:00.

La Sardana is a traditional and patriotic folk dance of Catalonia. You can see La Sardana dancing every Sunday on the Plaza Plà de la Seu in front of Barcelona's La Seu cathedral in the Barrio Gotico area.

The department store El Corte Ingles sponsor a free Sardanas dance school for children up to 14  years of age every Saturday on Plaza Catalunya in Barcelona in March and April every year. It's called l’Escola de Sardanes d’El Corte Inglés. 2012 will be the 35th anniversary of the Sardanes school.
